A New Plymouth native, Dobbie has worked with Helicopters NZ for 6 years. Prior to this he was with STOS both on and offshore radio operator, initially then offshore as the radio operator/medic and dispatcher for 25 years. Dobbie spent 7 years as a part time soldier with the Territorial Army (Rank of sergeant) then 8 years in the Air Training Corp (rising to the rank of Flight Lieutenant). Holder of a Private Pilots Licence and a lifetime member of the New Plymouth Aero Club. Hobbies include All things aviation, international travel, and tramping.
